Ludovica apartments have been just built in Positano centre in a splendid panoramic position. These five apartments have all of them a beautiful sea-view of the Amalfi Coast with the green orchards laying over the emerald-green sea water. These houses are furnished with taste, with every comfort (e.g. air conditioning and TV Colour) and with the typical ceramic floors from Vietri. Our guests can combine the stay in Positano with the visit of the other resorts of the Amalfi Coast (Amalfi, Ravello, Vietri,) because the National Road 163 goes not so far from the apartments. Besides, tourists cannot miss the nightlife of Positano which is one of the most exclusive and refined in Italy.

DESCRIPTION:

Two-roomed apartment of 45 square meters (484 square feet) with an intermediate floor, sleeps 2+2, composed of: living-room with a sofa-bed for two people downstairs and a double-room upstairs, small kitchen, bathroom with shower, balcony with a splendid sea-view.

Description:

Ludovica Apartment type C is a charming apartment for four people, located in the center of Positano, and with a splendid sea view. It has one bedroom with a double bed, a living-room with a double sopha-bed, and a small kitchen. The apartment is equipped with air conditioning. The sea and the beach of Positano (Spiaggia Grande) are 1 km (approximately half a mile) from Ludovica Apartment type C. At approximately 250 meters (270 yards) from the apartment you will find an elevator to reach the sea and the beach facilities.

The living-room has a lovely small balcony, with a great view of the sea and of Positano. In the living room you will find a table with chairs and a sopha-bed, which sleeps two. The bedroom, with a double bed, is placed on an elegant mezzanine level, overlooking the living room. You will enter the bedroom from the living room through a wooden stair. The room is large and comfortable like a regular bedroom. As a matter of fact, the very high vaulted ceiling of the original room, characteristic of the building of the Amalfi Coast, has given the opportunity of dividing the room in two, doubling the available space.

The bathroom has a shower and a wall-mounted hairdryer. The small kitchen is equipped with a cooker, which has two electric burners, hood fan, refrigerator with freezer and toaster.

The apartment has been completely restored in 2002. The floors are tiled with lucid Vietri majolica tiles, decorated with flowers, and the furnishing is new and very pleasant.

The apartment is part of an ancient building of Positano, elegantly renovated, both externally and internally. This building is itself part of the characteristic landscape of Positano. It is located halfway between the coast and the sea, in a central position inside the village.

To reach the apartment, You have to climb up a staircase of roughly 50 steps – no lift - , but consider that this is the feature and the beauty of Positano: steps everywhere. You have to climb up or get down.

At the beginning of the stairway you will find the main road, as well as the local bus stop and a guarded parking lot. Guests of the Ludovica Apartment type C can park in this area at a reduced price. The beach is approximately 1 km (half a mile) along the road. You can also easily reach the sea and the beach facilities by an elevator, approximately 250 meters (270 yards) from the apartment. Shops and restaurants are close by.

Staying at Ludovica Apartment type C you will be just a few footsteps from the intense life of Positano, in a quiet and panoramic area, and in a very pleasant and relaxing environment. You will be fine without a car, or use it, if you wish, only for trips outside of Positano.

Positano is a village of the Amalfi Coast which is well connected both by land and by sea. From Positano you can easily reach Amalfi, Capri, Ischia, Sorrento, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Naples, and Salerno.
To reach Sorrento, for instance, it only takes half an hour along a road that shows breathtaking views of one of the world's most beautiful landscapes at every curve.

A curiosity: if You wish to appreciate the local cuisine, we suggest You for fish the resaurant “Chez Black” on the Positano beach. You spend something more than an ordinary restaurant but it is definitely worth it. But You like eating meat, so don’t hesitate to go to the restaurant “La Tagliata”: it is in the “Nocelle”, a place near Positano. You don’t spend so much and it is spectacular.

FROM ROME BY CAR:

From Rome reach the main road "A1"direction south (Napoli) and, after leaving Napoli, take the main road "A3" to Napoli - Salerno (Not Tangenziale Napoli). At Castellammare di Stabia, take the road to Sorrento. Anyway everywhere (along the motorway too) there are brown signs "Penisola Sorrentina": follow that sign. When You arrive to Piano di Sorrento (a village along the way) takes Via Cavone and follow the National Road 163 to Positano.

FROM ROME AIRPORT BY PUBLIC MEANS:

A shuttle links the Airport with the main railway station in Rome. From Rome several trains go to Naples (The trip takes approximately 2 hours). In alternative, (only during working days) from the Tiburtina train station You can take the bus of “Marozzi” company that leaves from the capital at 7:00 am and 3:00 pm: the bus takes directly to Sorrento ( Euros 15.99). In Sorrento You can board the buses operated by the "Sita" company that takes to Positano (40' min).

FROM NAPLES CAPODICHINO AIRPORT BY CAR:

From Naples Capodichino You should follow the motorway A/3 Naples-Salerno as far as the exit Castellammare di Stabia; once You are in Castellammare You follow the National Road 145 (SS 145) as far as Sorrento which is about 48 kms away from Naples. Anyway everywhere (along the motorway too) there are brown signs "Penisola Sorrentina": follow that sign. When You arrive to Piano di Sorrento (a village along the way) takes Via Cavone and follow the National Road 163 to Positano.

FROM NAPLES CAPODICHINO AIRPORT BY PUBLIC MEANS:

From Naples airport You can take a taxi or bus to the railway station at Piazza Garibaldi. At the main train station Piazza Garibaldi in Naples You will be able to board the local Circumvesuviana trains which leave for Sorrento every 20 minutes all day long. In alternative, from the Naples Capodichino Airport You can take the bus of “Curreri” company that takes directly to Sorrento with departure at 9:00 am – 11:30 am – 01:00 pm – 02:30 pm – 04:30 pm – 07:00 pm. (The trip takes approximately 1 hour). Once in Sorrento You can board the buses operated by the "Sita" company that takes to Positano (40' min).
