FURORE

Furore is a small town, between Praiano and Conca dei Marini. It mainly owes its fame to the deep gorge from which it takes its name, one of the cracks which occasionally slice inland through the continuous line of rock spurs running along the entire Amalfi coast. The few houses in Furore, often isolated, are scattered over the sloping land on which the local crops, olives and grapes, are grown. Beyond the gorge, a road offering spectacular views over the coast and the sea leads inland to the Agerola plateau. Situated 650 metres above sea level, this lovely countryside, in which extensive fields alternate with thick woods ornamented by streams and orchards, is the ideal place for those who enjoy quiet, relaxing walks. Beyond the town of Agerola are the nearby resorts of Bomerano, with its interesting little church, and San Lazzaro, with an observation point which offers an outstanding view of the Amalfi coast.

It is advisable to check also the availability of the apartments in Positano and the apartments in Sorrento.
